To start a game you choose an explorer nickname and a character. You don't need to create an account, and we never ask for your real name, email address or password to play. Please don't use personal information as your nickname.
2. Game progress stored on your device
Your game progress (nickname, character, current world, missions, inventory and play time) and your settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
3. Optional cloud saves
If cloud saving is enabled on this site, your game progress is also stored with our database provider, Supabase, linked to an anonymous identifier created for your browser. It is not linked to your name or email. It is used only to keep your progress and to maintain the game. To request deletion, contact us (see section 9).
4. Cookies and advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to show advertisements, which help keep the game free. Please note:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

We use the information described above only to run the game, remember your progress, keep the site secure, and show advertising. We do not sell personal information.
7. Children
3rd World is a family-friendly game, but this website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
